There is a Bowls Club only 10 minutes drive away. The club is open to non-members.

CANOEING

See the beautiful local countryside by canoe on the peaceful river Dronne. 1, 2 & 3 seat canoes can be hired from Brantôme by the hour, ½ day or day. On the ½ and day journey you are collected and brought back to Brantôme.

 CYCLING

2 x 18 gear mountain bikes are available to you free of charge during your stay with us. Explore our pretty villages and almost car free lanes.

 GO KARTING

There is an excellent track about 30 minutes drive away with karts for youngsters, adults and experts.

 GOLF

Angouleme and Perigueux have very good 18 hole courses, both about 30 minutes drive away.

 HORSE RIDING

2 very good stables are within 30 minutes drive, where you can hire and go for a treck.

ROCK CLIMBING

There are several areas nearby where rock climbing takes place

There is a superb AQUA CENTRE at St. Martial de Valette, which is 15 minutes drive time away. There are very good open air swimming pools at Bourdeilles, Champagnac de Belair, Riberac and Verteillac, all within 30 minutes drive time away.

 TENNIS

Courts are available to hire at Brantôme, Bourdeilles and Champagnac de Belair.

 VINEYARDS

We are an hour's drive from the famous vineyards of Bergerac and Bordeaux. Explore the wine routes and taste the wines.

WALKING

Many well marked walks start from Brantôme, ranging from easy to strenuous.

 Apart from the above, the area abounds with historic abbeys, caves, chateaux, churches, lakes, museums and ruins to be explored. Never forgeting the famous caves of Lascaux.
